I have been recently been playing a little bit of Grand Theft Auto IV just because my friend got me into playing again. It actually hit me as a pretty interesting game after I started a new save file, but it seemed that the only thing that was keeping me interested was either getting new trophies or getting new weapons. It actually feels like a very rewarding experience after you get new items or features, which I never noticed or experienced before because I used cheat codes a lot after the game started to piss me off. I'm actually attempting to complete the whole game, but I know that is going to be a boring-as-hell experience.

I also have been playing a little bit of Mass Effect, working on trying to get the Extreme Power Gamer achievement(getting to level 60), and ALSO trying to complete most of the side quests and all the extra stuff(which would also lead to me getting the completionist achievement and one of the Ally achievements(playing most of the game with a certain teammate)).

That's pretty much it! Goo bye!

I really want to f****** get Fallout 3 now. The first 30 minutes of the game has hyped me up to the point that the second I get $60, I am walking at least 2 miles to the nearest Circuit City and picking it up. I have to say a few things though:

The character models aren't good, but they aren't AS BAD as Oblivion.
People were right, you do get desperate in the game, sometimes, especially when you have no med-packs or bullets, you really want to avoid almost every enemy.
VATS is...thank, god...NOT the perfect kill-everything button, which I like.
The GOAT didn't fulfill my life's dream of becoming a marriage counselor.

That's all I have to say for now. I recently picked up a used Mass Effect and continuing my old character to get a few more achievements. Bye!

Sorry I wasn't here to celebrate my blog's first anniversary/birthday on December 20th of last year when I finally decided to start this shindig. Now it's time to set some goals for next year:

1.At LEAST a hundred posts before my baby's second birthday.
2.Don't burn out.

I combined two things that will probably never work out with each other, but are going to have to work out. I'll start right about...now.

I just bought two new video games, Call of Duty 5 World at War and Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009. One you probably have heard of and one you probobly havent. but its strange that I think that these two games are about equal. for starters, and dont lie to yourselves, if youve played World at War you know by now that its a little overrated. Its a good game and all, i just dont think that its worhty of all the hype its getting just because of the franchise. In almost every regard Treyarch just tore off Infinity Ward's work and glued it to a sheet of paper headed WORLD WAR 2.....AGAIN. I love ww2 and all, actually i love any sentence with WAR in it, unless its preceded by the word NO. But i was foolishly expecting a future Call of Duty... or at the very least an American revolution or Vietnam game. I mean come on! there's sooo many wars (YEAH!) and they go back to the same Bonzai's and Heil Hitler's. Seriously....its not that i dont like Hitler or Mussolini or Hideki Tojo or Good Ole Joe.... But really.... what about Robert E. Lee or King George III as an enemy?

Anime Breakout 14: What the heck happened?

Posted by Anonymous Monday, November 3, 2008 0 comments

It’s the same question I’m asking myself. I can watch 90+ episodes of Naruto in a week then finally burnout, but I can’t watch a little more then 25 episodes of Code Lyoko in about a month and THEN BURNOUT?!?!

It’s probably because my temporary internet provider is probably one of the slowest piece of $|-|1Ts I have EVER used. When I was watching all my Naruto episodes, I only had to wait about a minute for the video to buffer enough so I didn’t have to stop in the middle of the episode. Currently, it takes about 10 minutes for the video to buffer so I can get at least 1/3 through the episode without stopping. I despise you temporary dial-up.

Everything in my house should be up, ready, and clean by next week. So either expect meaningful updates or never seeing me again now that my video games are back.

Remember the first posts on VGNO close to a year ago? Well, in one of those posts, I posted Armake21's review of Halo 3. I wanted to go back and see his videos again, and I found out his profile was deleted, so I spent about 20 minutes trying to find his new videos(because EVERYONE does that), and I found out that many people(including me)compare Armake21 to AVGN, which I think is really cool, because he doesn't seem to get paid or doesn't seem to be a very large celebrity either, even though his reviews are just as great. I also learned while looking through all the praise of Armake21, I found out about a jack@$$ named Irate Gamer who seems to be an attention wh0r3 that spams both Armake and AVGN and calls them $h17. I watched his videos for a few minutes, and I think they are terrible rip-offs. I don't hate Irate because his videos are bad(because I really can't find a reason to call them bad, seriously.), I just hate him because they are basically ripoffs of Armake and AVGN and thinks that his videos are better. Anyway, I found his new profile and started to watch a series I used to love by him, Games That Suck. The title is true to the videos, as he reviews terrible games in a very comedic way. I think that this was the first video I saw by him, and it's still one of my favorites.

To see his new profile and his amazing videos, click here. WARNING: Not suitable for children or people easily offended by swearing.

Thanks to a recent RedRant podcast I listened to a few days ago, I found a nice video podcast/show that is pretty funny and has some good humor. It is called Awesome Video Games, and it’s about some kids that are played by 20-something year olds that are in the 8-bit era and a dad(also played by a 20-something year old with a fake mustache) which is really funny. What is also really cool is the camera work, as the camera zooms in and barrel-rolls around their faces in a really cool way(since the cameraman knows the script). It starts out chuckle-funny, but as you watch through the series, you will be LOL'ing at their hilarious stupidity and their pretty cool editing skills later on in the series. Check out the first episode up there ^^^.

DeviantArt Watch 1: Bleedman

Posted by Anonymous Tuesday, October 28, 2008 0 comments

Ok, if you ever have been on the homepage on DeviantArt.com, you probably have already seen a few of Bleedman’s pics but have never noticed it. Bleedman draws a lot of fan pics, and just as much original drawings, too. From what I have seen from his pictures, is that he takes a lot of cartoon shows and draws them in a style that makes it look like something like a professional manga, but still keeps the appearance of the original characters. He takes characters like Dexter (from Dexter’s Laboratory) and The Powerpuff Girls(from Self-Explanitory), and even the characters from the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy and not only makes them LOOK like a professional manga, but also makes a story that SOUNDS like a cartoon manga. He makes stories out of crossovers(if I tried to detail one of the stories, there would be about 20 crossovers and about 5 original concepts) and combines them with an extraordinary art style.

And today I will end, with an epic video.

Yay! Time for a progress report in Code Lyoko.

Skipped Episode 24 straight to 25 because I kind of got tired of the filter but the concept of episode 25 sounds pretty cool and I wanted to know how they would solve that. After watching about the first 15 episodes I REALLY wanted to watch Code: Earth where the series actually takes a dive for an actual plotline. I really have nothing else to say about the show but I think I will have more to talk about when there is I get to the actual plotline(like how many people talk about the downfall of Heroes).

Sorry it’s so short, but as you might notice in a while, both of my websites will be getting updates. This will go on until the first of December, when I choose…something. I’m actually thinking about how I could keep both websites alive. As you also might see in this game, the focus of this website is changing, Instead of being a complete video game blog, this is more focused on internet culture that normal people with normal live(who think the internet destroys societies). You will be seeing a lot of other features on this website that aren’t really video game related. And who knows? This probably might only last until I start playing video games again, which I am expecting to be somewhere in early November. Anyway, enjoy the new features when you can. They might only last a while.

Gloqwi vs VGNO

I have nothing else to write about, so let's talk about karaoke parties!

Well, I'm at someone's house right now, bored out of my mind. A few minutes ago I was forced to karaoke or else my mom would take away my GoW2 preorder(not that I REALLY want it, I just want to ask her to switch it for Fable 2, Fallout 3, LBP, Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, Left 4 Dead, and all the other games much better than GoW). Luckily, I only sung 2; Creep by Radiohead(SOOO lucky it was there, I never knew it was), and Bohemian Rhapsody, which was probably one of the most embarrasing moments of my month, because 1. I am actually able to sing all the hard parts of the song, and 2. The karaoke machine has NOOO idea how the song's tune actually goes, no matter HOW MANY TIMES YOU SWITCH THE KEY!

Ahem, to extend the life of this post, I also decided to sign on to my mom's iTunes account and see what songs I bought back in the day. I'm not a real music person, okay?

Three Hundred by The Stereo
Disco Fiasco by Kristoffer Ragnstam
Less Talk More Rokk(Mark Saunders Remix) by Freezepop
Infected by Bad Religion
Wake Up by Rage Against the Machine
More Than A Feeling by Europe
The Perfect Drug by Nine Inch Nails
Miss Murder by AFI
most of the Halo 2 soundtrack...
Dragosta Din Tei(remember Numa Numa? Yeah, it's that song.)

and some other ones I don't feel like posting. Phewwwwwww.......goodbye everyone!

High Score Session 3: Yay?

Posted by Anonymous Tuesday, October 21, 2008 0 comments

Alright, time to move on to Tuesday's weekly segment. The high score session. Hell yeah, applause, woo!, and all the other exciting stuff. Welcome back from a long freaking hiatus.

Anyway, to buisness itself. I recently downloaded StepMania, and I have been working on my quite rusty DDR skills on the keyboard. I like knowing that I get better and better with less practice. I have been getting more AA's then I thought I would ever get, and these were the same songs I could barely get B's on a few months back.

And then, to actual games. I played a LOT of Advanced Wars: Days of Ruin. Ok, well, not played, exactly, because I kinda burnt out on the singleplayer, and my friend doesn't want me to replace his online data, even though he barely plays it(hasn't played it since February). I have been making a lot of huge custom maps, and watching CPUs going head-on to see who would win, and who's strategies were better. Usually, my maps are SO large that they end up being 6-hour long stalemates, until I finally end the game bored out of my mind. Then, I was alone in my car, doing what I was doing previously, waiting my mom to get some groceries. Then, I find myself narrating and commentating the things the CPU's were doing. I was pretty much saying what I thought I soldier would say when they wipe out a whole squad of bikes, infantry, or whole forces of tanks, anti-air, etc. This got me the crazy idea of making a fanfiction out of it!

..*cough*woah, did I go off on a tangent that SHOULD HAVE BEEN in this weeks Breakout. This tottally does NOT belong in the session. What does belong is:

I reached level 21 out of 26, I'm tottaly bored and have been making a hell of a lot of maps.

*checks to see if game I started 4 hours ago has ended*,

Nope. Still going.

And I have been unable to play any consoles *tear*, but when I do, this will be less of tangents, and more of actual scores.

So, until next week, see ya!

Oh, gosh. Here it goes again. I forget to even CHECK the website and now I have to make up for it with 3 posts(including this one) that I REALLY want to post but don't know if I could do. Oh well, let's go!

First off, I have been getting into a LOT of fanfiction again, and if you remember a few days ago, I posted a fanfiction from Full Metal Alchemist. Although I haven't been watching much Code Lyoko in a while(I am REALLY BUSY), I have still been trying to work my way through "Code Lyoko, a Retelling".

Then, I freaking start thinking about writing my own. Soooo, while playing Advanced Wars: Days of Ruin on the DS, I get this pretty awesome idea. What if I turn a custom game into an epic story? That would been amazing, wouldn't it? I would be able to play a very long and EPIC game of Advanced Wars, and I could add a lot of interesting narration to it!

Finally, I have my anime skills I'm still working on. I have yet to find a style that I like, as all of the styles I have tried are cool, but have no real "Cute/Awesome" to any of them. And I am TERRIBLE at drawing action scenes. I can only draw still images, and usually on portraits. I also have to work on C-R-E-A-T-I-V-I-T-Y because I keep on drawing the same type of characters,'The war damaged teenage that is ownage with a sword', 'the evil and no one likes this guy but he looks so ownage and has a model VERY similar to Sephiroth but half his age', 'the emo teen that trys to find meaning to his life', etc.

Well, that's enough for a Breakout. Ok. I lied. I HARDLY believe that there was enough anime in this breakout. I kind of did this on the fly because my great idea for this week's 'out was lost in my mind. I am working on finding it, and when I do, I'll post it next week. Get ready for....High Score session!

P.S., sorry, couldn't work on a header this week, I am too busy with other things right now....

POPUP VIDEO 3: Geometry Wars

Posted by Anonymous Sunday, October 19, 2008 0 comments

Popup Video time! Today's theme, Geo Wars!

This video was made by Matthew McCarthy about the Xbox Live Arcade game Geometry Wars 2 titled "Geometry Wars Will Be The Death of Me". He sings about everything he hates about Geometry Wars 2, which is pretty much everything. I like this version of the song, but if you click the link, there will be a download for the studio version of the song which, in my opinion, is much better. I could say all the same things about Math class.

This is a video of pro Geo Wars player K4rn4ge getting a very, VERY high score on Waves mode in Geo Wars 2. This video is crazy! I like the end especcialy.

And this is a video of the same player getting another high score in a different mode, Evolved, which is pretty much like the first game except with the new enemies and gameplay changes. I love 1:20. It proves that even pros make mistakes.

And that's it for today! I already have something for Anime Breakout tommorow, so see you until then!

POPUP VIDEO 2:Why didn't anyone tell me about this?

Posted by Anonymous Saturday, October 18, 2008 0 comments

A teaser trailer apparently unlocks in BioShock that teases the game's sequel. This trailer is apparently is unlocked by beating the game. Now, probably this was only found out because 2K Marin(the developers or publishers, I forgot) just updated the game to have this. But there hasn't been any news that I heard about an update to the game, because if this is as easy as it sounds and this is how it always has been(just beat the game and look in the BioShock 2 trailer), that is just SOOO STUPID how it just became news recently(check Joystiq and Xbox 360 Fanboy) and how I also never knew about this(I only say this because I call myself the average BioShock gamer).

Anyway, the teaser trailer is really cool. It shows a supposed grown up Little Sister with a mini-Big Daddy doll(so many oxymorons), and it shows her staring out into the Atlantic. Nothing much else is shown in the trailer except that the new title for BioShock 2 is called: BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams. That, to me, actually sounds like a really cool title, but does it have anything to do with the story? We will only find out when the game comes out probably next year(as the third game should already be coming out the year after.

UPDATE:
I also found this awesome video about the evolution of dance, er, I mean, evolution of zombies in the Resident Evil series. Ok, not really the evolution of zombies, but the evolution of the game's play and graphics. Enjoi!

Now that I watched the Resident Evil 4 comparison to Resident Evil 5, it looks like the gameplay is exactly the same(and I mean EXACTLY), and everything is made to look realistic and the sound effects sound a little less compressed then in RE4, but they still sound exactly the same. It's like either the guns made cameos, or the sound effects made cameos.

POPUP VIDEO 1: Brought to you by Anime Breakout!

SPOILER ALERT: For the people out there watching Full Metal Alchemist or the fanfiction "The Switch Glitch" by Zilo Sugarpill

I dunno if this might be a new feature or what, I just like adding "1:" to things because I think that I might do them again. Since I really didn't want to do an anime breakout since I would like to have that as a weekly feature(and see if I could keep it that way for a while), I made a new feature. I dunno if I'll do this often or at all, but I just felt like making this a feature instead of a video to the side of my website.

Anyway, this video came from Full Metal Alchemist while I was reading "The Switch Glitch", a fanfiction written by Zilo Sugarpill. I was on one of the chapter(chapter 27 to be exact), and there was this part in the chapter that showed a flashback to one of the scenes in the real show. Although it was just a sentence, the flashback peaked my interest and I decided to look on YouTube for it. I enjoyed it, I hope you do!

I do want to post daily, so I have to think of something to rant about right now...lemme think.

Oh yeah!

Lack of updates on VGNO?
I'm not using my computer. I'm temporarily using my mother's laptop so it doesn't have any of the feeds available for me to feed off of(pun intentional).

Why are you giving Gloqwi updates including a facelift A FEW DAYS AFTER you said that it was over?
Because I felt like making up for some promises(a lot of them)that I made to myself but never kept. I intend to fix that. And I also don't feel like writing for VGNO even if I tried.

DeviantArt art? Fanfiction fics?
Those will come later, when I have a working scanner.

So, are you putting VGNO in the same place Gloqwi was in the past summer?
Yep.

Where did you get the design for the headers?
X-Play(a show on G4(a channel on TV)). They have many transitions that include shapes coming out of larger shapes, and a big circle that introduces Pro Tips and stuff like that also inspired me.

Cool. Do I like the new headers?
Well, that's for you to know, and me to find out. I HOPE I can update Anime Breakout every Monday like I did for a couple of weeks back last year.

Why is December 20th so special?
It's actually pretty obvious. But, I'll keep it a suprise until the date comes out.

Did you know Fallout 3 came out today?
.....

WHAT!?!??!?!

....

And that is it for today. Hope you like today's filler!

I know I should make a post...but about what?

Posted by Anonymous Wednesday, October 15, 2008 0 comments

Maybe that was what VGNO was for! I have nothing else to do, and I STILL have not completed my homework, but I REALLY don't feel like doing it(why must there be a SPANISH CLASS!?!??! I want to learn OTHER LANGUAGES DANGIT!!!!). Anyway, I'd just like to say I am bored....currently watching Episode 22 of Code Lyoko, waiting for the whole thing to buffer(well, at least half of it), and if my scanner was plugged in right now, I would upload a scan of my drawings and upload them to here and DeviantArt so at least I have SOMETHING to present on the internet. I should also work on a fanfiction. Code Lyoko was looming over me, but I decided that I can't really do a fanfiction on a series I haven't really gotten a complete grasp on yet. I mean, I understand the story and all, but I really can't think of a good story(except parings)and I really don't think I can get a good grasp on all the characters personalities(that's why I have reading class!).

Well, that gives me a list of things to work on when I'm bored. See you guys later!

Anime Breakout 11: Are the French hardcore?

Posted by Anonymous Monday, October 13, 2008 1 comments

I've gotten through the first 20 episodes of Code Lyoko! Woo!...

But between episodes 14&15, I did some skimming through fanfiction.net and there are some things I hope I will never remember, and some things that I'm going to be reading for quite a while!

If you want something very(and I mean very) short but pretty funny, read Everybody Loves Odd!

If you want to read an interesting love story, read Confused By Love(the link leads to the chapter I am on currently).

If you want to read the longest f'ing fanfic I have ever read in my entire life(I think between the 3-5 chapter it reaches the 100,000 word count, and it is currently much longer then that), read Code Lyoko: A Retelling. This is personally one of my favorite fanfictions I have ever read. For people that have never watched the show, it is kind of like the plot of the first season except with interesting twists. If you have watched the show, if you read this fic then you will be able to imagine many of the scenes clearly, however, there are some OCs(Original Characters) that you have to imagine yourself, or, if you go to the author's website, you could look at what some artists see the characters as. I highly recommened Zeakari's pictures in the fanart. The link also goes to the chapter I am currently reading. You should definetly start from the first chapter so it all makes sense.

Another form of media that I would recommend to you if you are a fan of the show is (which you should browse religiously :) ). Zeakari's fan art on DeviantArtZeakari draws in an art style that I just ADORE!! :D

And last but not least, while I was skimming through Wikipedia about info on the show(no plot or anything, just looking for channels that still broadcast), I found the website for the Free On Demand channel Kabillion available on Comcast. What is awesome about this site is that it hosts most(if not all) the episodes in Code Lyoko. My internet connection sucks so whenever I want to watch videos on YouTube, they usually cut off right in the middle and I have some real problems trying to get back to watching. I do know how to fix the problem temporarily but I don't want to go through how to do that since it's very bothersome, and besides, I already have a very dependable host! One problem with the videos is that when you click the little bar that lets you decide what time you want in the episode(ex. 4:53/10:52), be careful that if you are in the second or third part of the episode(since the video is split into parts since Kabillion shows the episode like that(no real reason, I was thinking for about 5 minutes why they would do that, and I still don't get it, it's not like you have to wait for the whole video to buffer before you watch it), if you click on a time, there is a small chance that it will start playing the last part of the video at the same time as the part you are watching, which can get very annoying sometimes. If you are lucky, and the part you are watching is longer then the last part(ex. Last part: 10:52, this part: 13:03), then once you reach the time that the last part would've ended, the sound from the last part will stop and you can actually go back to the part where the sound started and watch the part you were watching clearly.

This is probably not the end of my Code Lyoko tirades, but I threaten to promise that the website will be updated more then it recently has been(as in, at least 1 post a week :P). I am currently on episode 20, and I just keep lovin' it more and more. Oh, I almost forgot, watch the pilot episode for Code Lyoko titled: Garage Kids, which shows the earlier concept of the show, as in the kids have powers outside of Lyoko(which was called Xanadu)and has a MUCH darker storyline. The voice actors also sound very French and are not very fluent in English, but that's just the voice actors. The animation is not as detailed, it doesn't move as smoothly, the 3D models look awkward, and animation has a lot of blurry transitions(which I actually kind of like, I mean, they kind of remind me of a flash movie, but flash movies aren't done in pen, well, I mean, they are, but, you know what I mean). You can watch it right here:

Am i dead yet or what?

Posted by Anonymous Sunday, October 12, 2008 0 comments

Looks like I can't let go of an old friend, and I don't really feel like writing for VGNO right now. So, I will stop making promises and only start to threaten making promises(because I know I will), right...about....

Now.

Now let me get on with my buisness. After I'm done, I'm coming with a Anime Breakout 11!

Oh, crap, I made another promise. Can you forget about that one?

Wait, did I mention the logo? Do you like or what?

Anime Breakout 10: Well, technically, a "French anime"

Posted by Anonymous Monday, October 6, 2008 0 comments

Yea. Code Lyoko is kinda not really an official anime, but it's based off of an anime. Code Lyoko you say? Yes. That show. Okay, I should explain.

I watched the first 9 episodes on youtube after I went through my old music and found "Un Monde Sans Danger" & "A World Without Danger", the French and English version of the Code Lyoko theme song. I also was going through thoughts of what I did back in the day(because I count three years ago "back in the day") and I remember always walking home early just to watch Miguzi on Cartoon Network(I also used to watch Xiaolin Showdown, but 1.I don't even consider that as an anime and 2.I don't have any interest in going back to that). Ahh, good times, good times.

And I'm really starting to take interest into it again. Go ahead, make fun of me. You might hurt my feelings, but I'm still going to watch it.

I do have to say two things though:

1. Terrible @$$ puns.
2. HUGE FOREHEADS.

Post 190: My revelation about video games.

Posted by Anonymous Friday, September 26, 2008 1 comments

If you ever meet me in forums, you would know my anger against video games NOT being video games(movies, etc.) and firmly believing that any way that a company releases an original video game brand into another medium just helps the brand grow and not the culture. Now, I'm going to talk about Braid, or rather, tell you something I learned from Braid. Braid was a game I really wanted to get but really couldn't cough up the money to buy it on(saving for bigger games, no offense Jonathan Blow), I only had about $70, and I was only planning to buy 1 game this year, so I felt like I kinda was missing out on everything every reviewer that played it praised the game for. I ignored all the reviews saying it was breakthrough and saying it was the best game ever(not really ignored, just didn't believe, or give in), I just thought it was a very original idea that could be used in very cool ways. Now, I recently thought about buying the game next time I get a 360, so I pretty much spoiled the ending of the game to myself(both endings), and thought they were pretty deep for an arcade game(and has lead me to believe that not all XBLA games are XBLA games). I then looked further into the game for an explanation to the somewhat vague ending and found a very interesting view of what Braid is about. You should at least have played the whole trial version to understand some of this and you must have at least seen the alternative ending to understand ALL of it. Written by GiantBomb user MaSuTa, here's his explanation of the "storyline of Braid".

There will be spoilers here, but I trust you gathered that from, you know, the fact that I'm talking about what I think Braid is about. I'm also not going to touch upon the more overarching themes of the game, such as Regret. No, I'm going to specifically be talking about Tim.

Tim is just a man. He was a smart man, a clever man, a man who stood in contrary to the ways of society: A scientist. Tim was a scientist, who was looking for the princess, who would make everything better, who would validate everything he's done. The princess symbolizes the meaning of life.

He was on his way to save the princess, fighting over obstacle after obstacle. They had gotten more intense, and more challenging. But slowly, Tim began to realize everything was backwards. Something was very wrong about what he was doing. Everything seemed like it was... backwards. Like the last levels of the game. As things got their most tense, he reached the goal of his work, of everything he had done until now: The princess.

In a flash of light, he had realized what he was doing. Setting foot on the platform, staring right at the princess. Nothing had ever felt more wrong than looking the result of his work face to face, the culmination.

So he ran. He tried to forget everything, but his mind went through the deeds he had done, the things he had accomplished in the name of saving... that. With horror, patterns clarified: Were he and the princess working together, or were the princesses attempts to help actions with darker intentions? At the time, she looked like she was helping, like they were helping each other. Reliving it caused Tim to see what had been happening: he had been set up. He was told "this is what you're looking for, here is your princess", and in one flash, he realized how wrong, how very very wrong he was.,

One flash.

The epilogue is where the largest, most telling characteristic of Tim's one mistake was, and it gives detail into how he copes with it. Throughout the game, the green books had been telling stories of this glorious princess, who would change everything and fix everything, who had the power to do all these things, even though she had turned his back on him. Arriving at the epilogue, the first thing that is apparent is that the green books say nothing. The red books, however, tell the whole story, the real story of what had taken place with Tim. Describing events worthy of despair and worry, of development and construction. One of the last red books that can be read details Tim raising darkened glass to his eyes, and then a blinding flash, and the moment time stood still. What were the things that Tim heard after that flash, that moment?

"It worked."
"Now we are all sons of bitches."

That second line is a quote from one J. Robert Oppenheimer, after the detonation of the first atomic bomb.

Tim was a part of the team that developed the atomic bomb.

The guilt of what he had done, what he had made, achieving this goal he had set for himself, had turned his entire life upside down. No, not upside down... backwards. Everything he knew was wrong, thanks to the detonation of this... thing, this man made apocalyptic device. It was traumatizing. Most people deal with trauma poorly. Tim sank into deep, deep denial over what he had done, over what seeking the princess had really created, that in order to keep his will to live, he had to lie to himself. He had to lie about what the princess was, about what he had done. And that is when the green books begin to make sense, when he has lost all other means of coping aside from madness. But his madness is self sustaining, it's protecting him. It keeps him alive. So he finds the cornerstone of what he must do. He will build this world for his mind to live in, of puzzles, castles, princesses, and the ability to undo every mistake you've ever made.

Go look at the pictures constructed again: They are of an empty man. The eyes hold a void, a decided un-life inside this very real, very capable body. They also detail the other ways that Tim had coped with this crushing regret; Women. Wine. Family. Travelling. Wandering. He did not do these because he wanted do: He did them because they were all he could think of to bring himself peace, or at least something he could fool himself into thinking was peace. And he observes these things he did from a distance, as if they are pictures in an art gallery. They bring him great comfort, but seeing them all, reminds him of why they are there; it builds the ladder for him to go and relive what he had done, why those images were there. And by the time he is out of this explination, this loop that keeps his mind in check, if he steps out the door, he is confronted with the same thing he fled from at the start of the game. At any point, in getting lost inside these worlds of his own creation, his attempts to escape responsibility, he can just step outside and face the calamity, the image of his regret.

A great, everlasting fire.

And that's what I think Braid is about.

If you read the whole thing(I did), you should be like "Woah! That's freakin' deep!"(if you aren't, you might not have any interest in the game). There is a whole backstory I know I would have never been able to have noticed just playing the game basically. And for those people that played the trial version, like me, that are confused when they mentioned red books, I think that they are extra books in the game that show the real story that Tim does not (want to) see. When I read this, it explained almost every confusing aspect of that game, answering questions like,"Why is there a burning city in the back?", and "Why is there an incomplete ladder at the top of the building?" I still don't understand the constellation though.

What this also made me realize is that I still believe video games should just stay as video games, but that you could innovate greatly with great and original concepts, story, and gameplay. Jonathan Blow did exactly that, he made a video game that is a true example of art, compiled with great music, art, story, gameplay, and so much more inside a great game. Sure it took a simple concept, platforming. But if you succeed to transform and build from it well, you could revolutionize a genre and even more. A whole culture. This game shows that video games are more then just shooting people and playing games. I know that many people do not like putting the terms "video games" and "an experience" in the same sentence, or even paragraph, because there are those people out there that are not hardcore and might not care that much about a game's storyline or it's design, but if you make a game like this, many gamers will be astonished.

Well, I don't know if you noticed, but I really wanted this to be the last post of Gloqwi. It might be, it might not be. But if it is, I really wanted to finish the site well with a pretty quality article with many of my opinions expressed in it. I would like to let go of this blog from my administration, but I really would like to keep it in my memories. I doubt many people went on this site, but this was my first experience into blogging, and I wanted to remember it. So I would just like to say goodbye to this blog. Thank you for anyone that actually visited this. I'm going to try to focus on a more consistent blog now, with VGNO. I'm thinking about changing it a little bit though. But I will say no more. Goodbye!

First time I ever played and I owned everyone in that game! Kaillif is one of those noobs that just runs away so it wasn't really fair. Thinking about selling R6V2 and getting GoW because my friend(monkie dukie) just brought gears of war over I don't actually have it so tell me what you think on xbl gamertag pdidi911

Although it may be true that they are making a big leap forward for their console, this is how I would have worded it.

The Playstation 3 is making a big leap forward....and has caught-up with the 360.

To see what I'm talking about, click here. What I'm saying is that this "big leap" they are making with Firmware 2.40 is not a very big leap compared to other consoles. Let's compare the new features to the Xbox 360.

Trophies-The Xbox 360 already has achievements.
In-Game XMB-Already has the Xbox Guide.
Text chat in the in-game XMB-The Xbox 360 has VOICE chat, and they don't even have to be in the same game either.
In-Game XMB can be accessed from the PS3 titles but NOT while watching movies and playing PS2 games-You can access the guide from both games and movies, but NOT while playing original Xbox games.
You can view downloads and see how close it is to completetion-Already have active downloads.

Yes, they have made a big leap, but have they really gotten ahead of the competition?

I didn't say this, but my last three posts including this has been part of my new Gloqwi's Soapbox, my point of view on news. If you ARE reading these, please comment or respond to these posts and share your ideas with me. I would LOVE to hear some constructive conversations.

I am also planning to remove my blog was seeing some sort of depression, where either nobody posted, or we posted crap.

To see other posts part of my new "Gloqwi's Soapbox" feature, click here.

I didn't think very long after the announcement of Rock Band 2 to notice that it might not be the greatest idea. I mean, I'm all up for the cool instruments and being able to import downloaded song to Rock Band 2, but here are the reasons why I feel confused:

Another $170 kit? They haven't reported the price, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be a heafty hunk of change, and I am NOT paying for those instruments all over again.

They promised Rock Band would be a platform, and that's pretty much what I thought with all the DLC coming. Rock Band should just keep on expanding, right?

These are some of my thoughts on the release of Rock Band 2. But pretty much what I'm saying is, I spent a LOT of money buying Rock Band, do I need to spend MORE money to play Rock Band 2? Just hope that they release some more news when they appear at E3 later this year. Comment and tell me what you think, guys.

Kojima-wants to end MGS at the second game.
Tokuro-wants to keep on working on Megaman.

Kojima-works up 7 more games, latest one being MGS4.
Tokuro-has not worked on a Megaman game in ten years, latest one being Rockman and Forte: Challenger to the future.

And now this crap.

Just wanted to ask, who is the better developer? New developers should learn from this.

Oh, takin' out from all the seriousness, some AWESOME Gears of War 2 footage RIGHT here.

I've hated IGN ever since they gave GTA4 a 10, but it was probably a good thing since they started making me actually read reviews instead of just looking for a score. I hate the fact that review sites only live off by the population they receive from viewers. If sites started giving up review scores, no one would visit their site, even though it would make more sense. It would at least make people actually read reviews.

Now onto the real subject, IGN. Not only did he give GTA4 a masterful(a.k.a. PERFECT) 10 score, he also gave Metal Gear Solid 4 a perfect score. IGN gives a new meaning to handing out 10s left and right.

En quote by Hillary Goldstein: There is a reason why it's been a decade since we gave a ten(a little paraphrasing)(From The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time to GTA4)

En quote by me: There is a reason why it's been about two months since IGN gave a ten(AKA, GTA4 to MGS4)

I would just like to say, that I have owned GTA4 for about 3 weeks now, and here's what I would like to complain about:

*Driving-I don't really care, everyone has their own opinion about it, just like to say that I'm not a big fan of realistic driving engines(mostly because I suck with them).
*Multiplayer-Maybe it's just for the PS3(I'm actually pretty sure it's because of the online being free) but I just find the multiplayer to be incredible boring, possibly because NO ONE HAS A HEADSET, HOLY CRAP!
*Overall way the missions are set up-I mean, I like the actiony, fun, gun fight parts of the game, but please, I do not like driving for about 5 minutes so I can get to that action or go look for a cab so I can just speed the crap up. I also don't like missions that don't inform you that it is actually impossible to kill a person until a cutscene or event occurs in the mission. I seriously used like 10 whole clips on this guy but my bullets don't seem to be doing anything until I reach a certain destination.
*GPS-not because it sucks, or anything, but it takes sooooo much away from learning the city. I think I have pretty much learned everything around Broker, but any other of the districts I just look at my radar to find out where I want to go.
*Crazy crap NOT in this game that I used as a reason to get the game-I mean, Helicopter and boating rides are as exciting as I thought they would be(in a positive way), but I was just sucked in to San Andreas when I drove planes and jetpacks. Now, you can't do that in GTA4.
*And last but not least, the square(PS3)/X(X360) and triangle/Y button-There are so many things I really would like Niko to do, jump up to cling a ladder about half a foot above him, be able to stand off ledges instead of automatically jump right of the ledge of a building into the street about 3 stories under him when he could just stand on the ledge and actually jump onto the other building, cling onto the ledge of a building so if my jump just isn't long enough, I could cling to the building like a person in real life would if he didn't want to fall 3 stories from the ground down. And trying to get onto ladders is a real pain as the triangle button is either unresponsive or Niko doesn't know where the ladder is, because sometimes, when I'm really high up a building and I want to climb a ladder, I don't want to press the triangle button and then watch Niko walk backwards to his death as if the ladder was getting closer to him.

And pretty much everything I didn't mention didn't bother me at all. There are a lot of things I would like to say about the game that I love, but that seems to be a waste of time as the only thing anyone cares about are the negatives(that, and I don't feel like typing EVERYTHING I like about the game, but just because I might be pushing people the wrong way, I love the story. I actually care about the people that I meet in the game).

The two things I love MOST about GTA4: Riding helicopters(with a tail or not), and getting hit by a choppers on a copter(doesn't kill you, but hey, sends you back flying for at least half a mile.

*phew....time to go to bed....and, um, sorry for the three week hiatus.

Oh you like my post don't you

Sorry I've been away from the blog for a while. I've beat Assassin's creed and overall I have to give that game a 9.5/10. I don't think I need to explain why to you guys. Well check this out, guy gets recon armor for photoshopping?(why didn't I think of that), Haze get's a 4.5(I didn't think it was gonna be that bad), and fine I'm interested in Too Human geeze.

High Score Session #2: The Redux

Posted by Anonymous Sunday, May 18, 2008 0 comments

After Didi introduced me back to Call of Duty 4, I started to get addicted to it more and more. At the same time I have also been getting my skill back. For most of my matches I got a K/D spread of +7 to +12. But my best game was my last game of the night.
And I also remember how it feels to get three challenges in one game. I don't know how I got hard landing though, I just shot this guy while he was in the entrance of the sewers.
Reminder:
Tango Down Kill every member of the enemy team (4-player mininum). 250
Hard Landing Kill an enemy in mid-air. 250
Extreme Cruelty Kill every member of the opposing team without dying. 250

That's it for today!

Anyone like a song?

This has finalized it right here.

What is it? PS3 version of GTA4 runs on 640p. Wow. So special. That means the XBOX360 version does that too.

...right?

Nope. The 360 version runs on 720p. If you'd like to see other reasons why I'll be getting the 360 version, look at my newest post on VGNO.

I'm sorry, The_Conductor, it just had to happen. Hay, littlebigplanet is only a summer away!

Hay! Wats up? Have been gone for a while but I'll be makin' a LOT more posts now.

So, for a first post, Anime/Manga breakout! #9!

I have found the June 2008 issue of Shonen Jump Mag, and I have made found a new interest, Rosario Vampire! It's about this kid that accidentally enrolls into a monster high-school and has some weird things happen to him. I have only read the first 56 pages, but they are starting to get more and more interesting! And as always, I will have VNManga to help me get the full chapters. This series is ongoing, so I won't be able to read a volume a night, but I just have a feeling this isgoing to be good.

Oh, by the way, this is NOT a hentai flick, just to let you know if the preview picture screwed you up, is all.

Now you see me...

Posted by Didi Sunday, April 27, 2008 0 comments

Yep I know you were probably all worried about me, but I'm fine I just couldn't get on my computer for a while. HUGE NEWS THIS WEEK: Grand Theft Auto IV gets a 10/10 from IGN(best of the series!), Bioshock rumored to come this fall to PS3, I finally got my hands on Assassin's Creed and that game is so confusing. I mean I get confused like what I should do at times(save person on let them die), but other than that it is an awesome and totally not worth a 7.5(IGN). Did I forget to mention I beat Kaillif's gamerscore yessss. Oh and add my friend on Xbox Live if you can
gamertag:monkie dukie
He's my friend outside of school, and tell him Didi sent YOU

BIG NEWS GUYS!!!!

Posted by Anonymous Friday, April 25, 2008 0 comments

Didi has (unofficially) beat my Gamerscore!!!! W00terz!!!! Letz now all wait for teh official beat soon! All you need is a little less than a thousand more!

I've let my boys down

Posted by Didi Sunday, April 20, 2008 0 comments

I've just been playing video games for too long. So I decided to use the money I get to go into this ju-jitsu class and try not to play video games that much. Doesn't mean I'm stopping just means don't expect to see me on Xbox Live as much as you used to.

Now FINALLY I will go into news of the week. Mario Kart Wii get's an 8.5 from IGN and it actually has awsome online, Brothers in Arms: Hells Highway actually get's some attenion yay, UT3 360 multiplayer footage was released this week, and yes there is an Iron Man demo on Marketplace. Live Fire Weekend for Call of Duty 4 so make you download that gamerpicture and next weekend legendary weekend (25-27) for Halo 3 so download the new maps and gamerpicture.

Ok. So, I went to my friend's house for some party, and I had quite an experience.

First, I tried playing the drums fo realz, and I have to say it actually kind of works! Maps works the best, of course, but Reptilia and Wave of Mutilation work too! I tried Dani California, the cymbals just didn't sound right though. 3's and 7's worked fine too!

Next, I played some Guitar Hero III(not going to talk about it) and Halo 3(I have officially lost all skill).

Finally, we went inside his uncle's room to play some PS3. I played two games.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Assassin's Creed

Now, I don't know if this is for all games, but why is there always this warning about something relating to the disk? I also noticed that there actually was a loading screen at the beggining of Assassin's Creed. Does it seriously take that long? I also noticed that the PS3 version usually gets a better frame rate, but quickly switches back to a slow frame rate(like the Xbox 360, except without the better frame rate bursts), which makes the game seem unstable.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma(the original Ninja Gaiden ported to the PS3) is also a fun game, but the level of difficulty is freaking deadly. I mean, I only died 3 times, but it is very easy to get yourself killed if you don't know what your doing(the three times I died, I did not know how to use the Flying Swallow). The only boss battle I had was a very, VERY hard battle. So if this is the first battle, I can't even believe what Alma is like. It is a fun game, but getting killed is tiring, as soon after the three times I died, by the time I got to the horsemen in the second level, all i did was die.

So, that's my party. I swear I'll be updating VGNO soon!

Sarkathlon 2, might be your only chance to get recon armor.

Posted by Anonymous Friday, April 18, 2008 0 comments

Ok, so here's the laydown.

Mongoose Riding

Sharpshooting

Avalanche

Ok. So there are the basics. Some more specific rules.

End with 8 grenades

10 checkpoints with the fastest time

Whoever gets the fastest time gets Recon armor.

Runner-ups get Jinx Clothing.

All you have to do is go to bungie.net. Under the tab Community you will find the People Finder, click on it, type in Mr Sark in the search bar, click on the avaible link at the top that links to Mr Sark's profile, then click View Service Record right next to his Halo 3 insignia and total games played. Once there, click File Share and then download:

Sarkathlon2-VIP(variant)
Sarkathlon2-Map(map)
Sarkathlon2-Tut(tutorial video)

Make sure to watch the tutorial video to see how it's done. Click on the links to download if you like going the simple way.

Oh, and NO USING HORNETS!!!!

Screenshots are from Mr Sark's file share. Enjoy!

Also view his videos,

Messy-Double kill, betrayal, and a suicide. Not bad for one laser.
Sarkathlon 1 Winning Video-Video of champion's run, DJ Maluus. This will show you that it's not as easy as it seems, and that there are other ways of completing the courses.

Oh, by the way, did I mention the prize was RECON ARMOR!!!!!!

I got HONOR ROLL ON MY REPORT CARD

Posted by Didi Thursday, April 17, 2008 3 comments

Yes I actually got HONOR ROLL! So I told my mom if I got honor roll she would have to let me get GTAIV, so I might get that. But I do want atleast $20 worth of microsoft pionts(to buy COD4 maps and Rock Band DLC). If there is anything you want to recomend I get make a comment to this post, and I will make a poll so choose wisely.

Sarkathlon 2, why do I mention it...why does it matter?

Posted by Anonymous Wednesday, April 16, 2008 0 comments

A Halo Marathon...by why do you care?

It is all worth the prize...it's just going to be as hard as hell though.

By the way, the map will be available tomorrow.

Best proposal I have every seen.

Posted by Anonymous Sunday, April 13, 2008 4 comments

Awesome right? I found this on WiiFanboy.com and it's an awesome story. This guy works on a custom stage as a proposal for his fiancee. He starts a game with the time limit on infinity with Mario, Peach, and Kirby(the fiancee's favorite). He turns off the TV and leaves the game running. He then leaves the room. His fiancee then comes and turns the TV on, and asks if he's in a middle of a game. He comes back in with a small box in his hand and insists in looking at the TV again. She takes a look, and then says,"Oh. Yes!"

Super Smash Brothers just gets into your life doesn't it. I am also very relieved that it actually worked. I don't think there are that many women out there who think this might be cute, but it got her! Good luck!

Gloqwi I am your FATHER!

Posted by Didi Saturday, April 12, 2008 1 comments

Well if you haven't figured out already, Gloqwi has left this blog and went on to VGNO(whatever that stands for). I'm not sure if he left or if he just isn't going to write on this blog anymore. I was thinking he could just write the anime stuff there and stuff we(writers on THIS blog) would find interesting like video games news and so forth here. Hopefully he will take my suggestion. He mentioned on his other blog how you get a 4 month Bungie Pro subscription for free with the New Halo 3 maps. To bad HE WON'T GET THEM AND I WILL! I don't even plan on using the slots so whatever.
Now let me dedicate this video to my son who I hope is watching this right now. :(

Playing Halo 3 on Co-op

Posted by Didi Friday, April 11, 2008 2 comments

Well I've been playing on LEGENDARY in Halo 3 with some guys I met in Team Slayer, but I found out the host didn't turn the meta-game thing on so I didn't get any achievements :( . I've been watching video previews for the Legendary Map-Pack and all I have to say is WOW! I mean it looks pretty cool with all the new forge objects and how each map looks. Well done EA I mean Bungie. I get paid ateast $25 today or tomorrow so I'll buy some microsoft pionts. Probably going to buy Halo 3 maps Tuesday and Call of Duty 4 map-packs, and MAYBE Rock Band DLC! :)
And to finish my post I will end it with this video.

Let's not go into the Savage vs. Amir fight soooo Ikaruga(one of the best Gamecube games EVER) was released on Xbox Live Marketplace yesterday. I played the trail and that game is crazy hard, well atleast for me. Fans boycott the Battlefield:Bad Company DLC because it's expensive, Variety Map Pack looks amazing, Legendary Map Pack in 5 days, and GTA IV is going to be amazing I HOPE!

I'm 13 and your not

Posted by Didi Sunday, April 6, 2008 0 comments

Well my birthday is today, still waiting for Halo 3. >:D

By a very close call, the Xbox 360 one by a very small margin. Here are all the reasons.

The PS3.

Dualshock 3. (2/5)
Metal Gear Solid 4 Beta. (4/5)
Warhawk's 2nd Expansion pack. (3/5)
No DLC on the Store this week. (-1)
Home planned to come out this April. (3/5)

Now, Microsoft's side: The Xbox 360.

Halo 3 Heroic DLC turns free. (3/5)
CoD4 Map pack released. (5/5)
Forge filters. (1/5)
Lag issues for Xbox Live. (-1)
Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack announcement release date revealed. (4/5)

PS3:11
X360:12

Very very close call. Well, that's it for Console War Fridays this week.

I am currently at a Sony store.

Posted by Anonymous Saturday, April 5, 2008 0 comments

Hehehe. I was trying to take a peek at the blog and while I looked at the post, I noticed it would let the picture of the Xbox 360 and PS3 picture be shown. There are many sites blocked on this server I suppose, as it also blocks the images of me and Didi's gamertags. Or maybe they don't want any mention of the Xbox 360 anywhere in this store.

A few seconds ago, I found this game previewed in the store, called Ridge Racer 7. Sometimes I do great, as more than half of the races I played were ranked 1st place, and sometimes I do terrible, landing myself a rank lower than 10th. It has some of the coolest drift engines EVAR!

Currently, the Xbox 360 is still leading by one point. Cmon. COMMENT!!!!!!!!

Console War Friday #1

Posted by Anonymous Friday, April 4, 2008 5 comments

This will seem worse than you think.

First off, Sony's side: The PS3.

--Dualshock 3. Contains long awaited rumble but keeps the (sometimes terrible) motion functionality of the Six-Axis controller. Since this feature should have been here LONG ago, this only scores the PS3 a 3/5(minus one for coming soon). (2/5)
--Metal Gear Solid 4 Beta. Something that I'm dying to need but only lasting for o so long. Available to download on April 17, this Beta will feature the multi player aspects of the game and will last from April 21 to May 5. 5/5(minus one for coming soon). (4/5)
--Warhawk's 2nd Expansion pack. 4/5(minus one for coming soon) (3/5)
--No DLC on the Store this week. Minus one.
--Home planned to come out this April. 4/5(minus one for coming soon) (3/5)(Just to add a note that this is something I am personally excited for.)

Now, Microsoft's side: The Xbox 360.

--Halo 3 Heroic DLC turns free. 3/5.
--CoD4 Map pack released. Contains Chinatown, Killhouse, Broadcast, and Creek. 5/5.
--Forge filters. Seem to be awesomes, but since this doesn't seem as big the PS3 news, this only gets a 2/5(minus one for coming soon). 1/5
--Lag issues for Xbox Live(Didi knows about this for RSV2). Sadly a minus one.

For now, there is only a war between X360 and PS3, no Wii. As I think I have to be responsible for this(since it's kinda obvious of who's defending who(Didi X360, Savage PS3)), I will be focusing on the Wii for just a little bit. If nothing happens next week, I switch back to these two.

Current Scores:

PS3: 11.
X360: 8.

I am also surprised. I am also surprised.

The wars end tomorrow night at 8:30/C. So please comment and tell me something of importance I have missed and I will rate it's importance. I will also accept any reasons to boost any of these reason's scores. So comment NOW!

----------------------------------

[UPDATE-As of 12:51 PM] Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack announcement trailer, pack coming out the 15th. 5/5 (minus one for coming soon) (4/5) For XBOX 360

Updated scores:
PS3: 11
X360: 12

It is getting very close!!! And please post reasonable reasons. This won't end until tonight!

Yes. It is true. The map pack was delayed until April 10th, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT, Infinity Ward and Microsoft managed to find some to get the certification done early and, well, here they are! That is my understanding of what happened, not sure if that is what happened, but that is what I understand.

I did though, hear about it releasing early this morning last night on X-Play! I was just to lazy to make a post about it. GJ Didi. I'm going to go weep in the corner of my bathroom now.

Kaillif lied once again. The Variety Map-Pack for Call of Duty 4 was released today for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 for 800 microsoft pionts or $10. Now I can't say I got it the first day, but there still is halo 3

LEGENDARY MAP-PACK TRAILER

Posted by Didi Thursday, April 3, 2008 1 comments

PS3 sucks! Xbox 360 has wayyyyy better DLC than PS3. If you haven't seen the new Legendary Map-Pack trailer for Halo 3 than get off this earth. Oh and Kaillif please tell me how to add video to a post and make sure you get rid of that dumb April Fools Stuff ok!

SLAM DUNK CONTEST FOR X360 vs PS3

MUAHAHAHAHHAHA. It's actually happening tonight right now. The actually event. Im watching right now.

In other news, Playstation HOME is planned to be launched this April. Initially it is totally free (unlike the XBOX 360 online) and you only need to download it (500 MB) You can customize your avatar, and you start out with a small "apartment". You can play arcade games, go bowling, or play pool with your friends, which methinks is free. For real money, however, you can purchase decorations for your house, clothes, and a larger house (although some clothes and decorations are free) You can voice and text chat with people while walking down the street or in the large central plaza. There is also a movie theater. You can also share games and multimedia with your buddies. Methinks this is the first step in having a world where nobody goes out of thier houses and thier family's life is entiely on a CONSOLE.

Top this off with the COD4 maps, Warhawk's price dropping ten dollars, a Warhawk expansion pack(thanks for your information Didi) , a Pixel Junk Monsters expansion (which, by the way, is an awesome game) and a FlOw bundle, APRIL ROCKS FOR THE PS3!!!!!!

Yep. That's right. Gears of War has finally connected with a director and a script. I just really hope it's not a Far Cry.

In other news, let's review the best freaking video game April Fool's Joke...

but first, I'd just like to say, whoever said there was going to be DLC for SSBB and ended up being an April Fool's Joke, I hate you with a passion.

Now, for the awesomeness...PRESENTED IN HDEH!......

actually, sorry guys. Blogger will not allow me to upload a video more than 100MB large. So now I have to compress it to a mere 43MB. Very sorry...oh well. Now it looks even more realistic. How? In the HD version you could clearly see how fake the lighting was in the Temple of Time. Now, it's hard to digress!

(video coming soon)

1. Story mode is actually pretty long(like a Rainbow Six games), but it keeps a steady pace and keeps you guessing throughout the game.

2. You can customize your character and weapons in every way possible. You can even make your guy fat. You want to make your guy a pickle or a tomato, well you can. You want to put your face on your character, well you can.

3. The new terrorist mode lets you play with 4 friends,or random people, and take out all the terrorist in a map, but you only get 2 respawns. On Normal difficulty it isn't hard, but realistic is very challenging.

4. New additions to Rainbow Six Vegas 2 are that A.C.E.S.(challenges you have to complete like in Call of Duty 4) lets you unlock new weapons and armor for your character.

5. I forgot to mention...the MULTI-PLAYER IS AWESOME. Total Counquest is probably my favorite game mode ever in a game. It's basically like headquarters except way more intense and fun. There are 3 satleites things in a map and you have to capture and hold each one so that the other team doesn't control it. You gain xp for EVERY kill you partner/s makes in any mode even story mode. There is also a VIP thing like in Halo 3,but I haven't played that one yet.

Just pick up the game!

Lolz. April Fools...yeah. I relocated the blog to somewhere safe and made sure that you couldn't find the blog even if you looked on my profile. By the way, the url that I relocated the site to was http://notavaiblenow.blogspot.com/. And now the site is back. Happy April Fools day!

Savage is Coming! Savage is Coming!

Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword; His truth is marching on. Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His truth is marching on.

I have seen Him in the watch fires of a hundred circling camps, They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps; His day is marching on.Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! His day is marching on.

I have read a fiery Gospel writ in burnished rows of steel;“As ye deal with My contemners, so with you My grace shall deal”;Let the Hero, born of fire, crush the serpent with His heel,Since Savage is marching on.Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Since Savage is marching on.

He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat; He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat;Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! be jubilant, my feet; Savage is marching on.Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Savage is marching on.

In the beauty of the lilies Savage was borne across the sea, With a glory in His sheath that transfigures you and me:As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free; While Savge is marching on. Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! While Savage is marching on.

He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave, He is wisdom to the mighty, He is honor to the brave; So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of wrong His slave,Our God is marching on.Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!Glory! Glory! Hallelujah! Savage is marching on.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl: First Impressions Extended.

Posted by Anonymous Sunday, March 30, 2008 0 comments

Well, I went back to Best Buy and played Super Smash Bros. Brawl for another while. This time I played as Pit and Meta-Knight, and I supposedly was the first one to beat Classic mode on Hard as I unlocked something that seems to be the SSBB version of an achievement saying that I did. They controlled very well, but I just have to get used to using Pit's jump like Ness' because you have to hold the jump button down to get to the highest point of his jump then use Up+B. I found Meta-Knight's special attacks to be absolutely deadly, but some of Pit's not to be very useful in fighting at all*AHEM*UP+B*COUGH*. I am surprised at how useful Pit's bow can be though. Other things I'm surprised about:

-It is very hard to kill Giant Lucas on his own turf(the only I killed him is by getting him bitten by that huge pink thing. I have no idea what that is.
-How hard it is to get a Final Smash ball in midair while fighting other people. I have always gotten so close to it but everyone else gets it before me...
-How good Falco's final smash is in real fighting. That video blows everything out of proportion.
-How very easy it is to kill Metal Pit.
-How tough Zero Suit Samus is.
-Why I didn't even get to face Crazy Hand at the end of Hard mode. I swear I didn't use a continue.
-Why they didn't just keep the old credits shooter. That was much better than this one.
-How much times the first stage is always Link.
-How this game is very reminiscent to Kirby Air Ride's menus and unlocks.

And some more I have forgotten. Oh well, until the next time I stop by Best Buy, that's it for another First Impressions.

Wow, Didi must be getting very pissed at all these SSBB posts. Oh, don't worry. I'll get those news tickers back.

Anime Breakout #8: The real way to watch anime.

Posted by Anonymous Saturday, March 29, 2008 1 comments

Well, I decided to do some serious anime watching by doing it the old fashioned way.

Watching it on TV.

First up was Digimon which I always keep on misspelling whenever I try to spell it(Dijimon).

Umm, it's either I haven't been watching long enough to actually be interested in the storyline, or all of your childhood's sucked.

I also watched half and episode of Death Note and a full episode of Bleach. First off, Death Note scares me, I don't know what it is, but it just scares me. I've heard from many people that Bleach is awesome, maybe it was because there wasn't much action in the episode I watched, but I didn't see why it was so cool. I'll try another episode soon.

And last but not least was Full Metal Alchemist, and let me tell you, it is VERY different from the manga. Still pretty good at it though.

And that's it for this week's Anime Breakout. Stay tuned for next week!

I'm getting Rainbow Six:Vegas 2 and your not!

Posted by Didi Friday, March 28, 2008 2 comments

Yes it is confirmed. This weekend instead of getting Halo 3 I will get Rainbow Six: Vegas 2. It looks awesome and my friends told me to get so what da heck, only problem... I will lose all my money and my Xbox Live Gold expires in 6 days, but since there won't be any Xbox live April 1'st I only have 5 days! I'll probably just beg my mom for it.

Well, I'm very excited to say that:

I HAVE FINALLY TOUCHED SUPER SMASH BROTHERS BRAWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, now that we've got that out of the way. Here's my first impressions look on SSBB.

First, I have to say, I might have been expecting a little too much from the graphics of this game, or it maybe because it wasn't presented on my TV, that I was expecting a little more because of all the screen shots I have seen. I can say that the graphics are much better than all of the other Wii Games I have seen.

Sadly, I did not play long enough to use the Final Smash as I was playing this on Best Buy, but I just have to say that I am happy with the two characters I played as, Ike and Sonic. Both of them have some very unique and awesome. Sonic has some very flexible and great recovery moves, as Ike has some very powerful standard and special moves. He's much slower than I expected though. Sonic is also hard for me to control, but I think that's because of the control schemes I used.

I used both the nunchuck and without the nunchuck control schemes with the Wiimote. I'm not very good with using the B button to attack with the Nunchuck option and I'm not very good with using the control stick to jump as I usually used the X and Y buttons to jump on the old Gamecube controller. I am, though, very good with using the scheme without the nunchuck. I actually think using this control scheme helped me use the recovery moves of Sonic a lot better then I think I would have with the Gamecube one as when I usually recover with the gamecube controller, I never use the B+(control stick tilt right), so that helped me a lot.

I love the music of the game. It really gets you into the action and it also let's you reminisce of good times(if your a Nintendo fan, at least). I love the music of the battle with Master Hand the best, though. I just remember loving the old Melee, and the track has many lines from music in Melee, so I found it to be quite enjoyable. Sadly, I was playing on Normal mode so it didn't last very long. I was on the verge of completing Very Hard mode but I didn't get to. Metal Samus just would not die.

So, all I did pretty much was go through Classic Mode one and half times and this is what I perceive of the game as of now. Can't wait until I actually get it though.

Guys. This is worth a blog post.

Sonic Unleashed sounds like the one to revive them all. Google it, and see what the awesomeness that could be! It might be all that I dream! Or better yet, Youtube it. There is a gameplay video that proves even more that it could fulfill my dreams.

.....

Oh, by the way, this one link, made me go crazy. Both the Gamespot score and the review, not saying that I disagree with the score.
